Chaussy-Laget family
Our family history goes back 6 generations, and we're proud to be able to continue passing on our passion and know-how.
Today, the fifth generation Christine and Daniel (sister and brother) manage the estate alongside the sixth generation,
Quentin, Joris and Arnaud (brothers and cousins).
Here, every member of the family plays an important role in the production of our wines. From the vine to the cellar, we work hand in hand to create wines that reflect our terroir, our philosophy and our know-how.
The 2 oak trees
They symbolize the boundaries of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône Villages appellations.
Located just a few steps from the property, the 2 oaks have become our emblem, which you can find on all our
logos, labels, etc.
The vineyard
Our vineyard covers 34 hectares: Châteauneuf-du-Pape (12 hectares), Côtes du Rhône Villages (20 hectares) and Vin de France (2 hectares).
Our terroirs include clay, sand and the famous galets roulés of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
The grape varieties are Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan for the reds. The whites are Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Clairette.
Our philosophy
Organic since 2012, we've been choosing biodynamic farming since 2021. We believe in preserving the environment and the health of our soils. That's why we prefer to work the soil mechanically. We pay particular attention to pruning and green harvesting (debudding, leaf removal, etc.).
Harvesting is entirely manual, as the grapes are sorted directly in the vineyard.
Bottling is done by us at the winery.
We are 100% self-sufficient.
Biodynamic farming
At Boislauzon, biodynamic viticulture is a way of developing the well-being of the vines and their environment using 100% natural methods.
We follow a lunar calendar for operations in the vineyard and cellar.
The key words are observation and understanding of the vine and its environment.
